HSQ beams

Nordic Circles HSQ beams are welded together from recertified steel plates, they are built to the standard for construction steel NS1090-2 with and come with CE marking. Our profiles are produced in Norway with modern fabrication technicues and have emissions of 0,15 tonn Co2e per 1 ton beam (source Vestforsk).

The beams, also know in Norway as ´hatteprofiler` are a flexible type of building element that can be combined with concrete hollow core slabs, cast concrete decks or CLT wood decks in a composite construction to support the floors in buildings. Incorporating the beams into the floor slabs results in reduced floor height. The box-shaped beams are tailor made and offer torsional rigidity, facilitating the installation of floor elements. In office buildings and residential blocks, the use of composite slabs supported by steel bearing systems comprising profiled beams and columns is becoming more popular.
