The Askøy ferry Melderskin becomes a fish hotel

The first batch of steel Nordic Circles acquired was 20 tonns from the Askøy ferry Melderskin. Serving as the ferry between Askøy and Bergen, she has travled the Bergen bay  for many years. Now she will become SuperDocks, urban fish hotels that bring marine life back to city ports. 

To upcycle the steel, pieces are cut out from the car deck and transported to our regional steel production partners around Bergen.
